*On Yoshi's Island, under a new moon, an unknown drider is pausing between attacks on the island's inhabitants.*

???: Heh heh heh... This is too simple. Without their champions, those pathetic dinosaurs don't stand a chance against me! I'll be able to make so many potions here... Maybe I should hold back. It'd be really bad for business if I drove those dinos extinct. ...I could really use a challenge... I wonder why Scott hasn't confronted me yet. As my former rival, he of all people should be wondering where all the Yoshis are going. Maybe I'll just do one more raid, and then leave this place for a while. But where should I go next... Maybe Angel Island? The wildlife there is sure to be tasty...

Legault: *watching the drider from the shadows* *thinking* ...Is that really... Wrapsodi? She's a drider? I'd better let the Heroes' League know about this, before Entegra gets framed... *begins to text Lindsay*

Wrapsodi: *overhears Legault typing* ... *slowly focuses on the noise* ... *pulls out a Poké Ball and opens it to reveal a Magnezone* *whispered* Magnezone... I believe we're being watched. Locate the intruder and bring them to me.

Legault: *sees Wrapsodi send out her Magnezone, but doesn't overhear her instructions to it* ...She's gone quiet. Too quiet. Why is she using her Magnezone? That can only trap metallic things... *finishes typing his message to Lindsay... but the moment he sends it, he gets struck by Magnezone's Thunder Wave* Ugh! *is paralyzed*

Wrapsodi: *spots the Thunder Wave and approaches Legault* ...Lindsay? You really thought you could creep up on me? *comes closer, and realizes that she's mistaken* Wait, you're not Lindsay Dawn... That's a relief. For a moment, I thought I was going to have the whole Heroes' League bursting out at me... I'd rather let them continue to think I'm a human. I find that it's much easier to trap people when they underestimate me... For an eavesdropper, you sure don't know much about keeping your guard up. But, since you're aware of my secret, I can't let you go... I'll just have to bring you to dinner. You're the main course. *throws a silken net over Legault and wraps him up, then bites him to inject him with her venom* Now, to capture some more dinosaurs... Come along, Magnezone. That morsel will be waiting for us when we prepare to leave this island... *reverts to human form, recalls Magnezone, and heads for the beach, leaving Legault wrapped up and dying in agony*

Legault: DX Ugh... I got careless... But at least I let the Heroes' League know that Wrapsodi's on the island, and that she's taken Trisha and several other Yoshis... Once Jumpy's aware of that, the whole Heroes' League will come charging to her rescue. I just hope I can last long enough for them to find me...

*meanwhile, at the Pikachu Cave*

Lindsay: *receives Legault's text* ...Oh dear...

Luther: What's wrong?

Lindsay: I got a text from Legault... He says that Yoshi's Island is under attack by Wrapsodi...

Luigifan: Wrapsodi? That's Scott's old potion-making rival, right?

Jumpy: *nods gravely* The two used to compete to see how many Yoshis they could manage to liquefy. But when you managed to get Scott to change his ways, Wrapsodi continued to stalk us...

Lindsay: That's not all. Apparently, Wrapsodi's already taken several captives... and Trisha's among them.

Jumpy: ._.; What?!? Oh... oh no... Is she still alive?!?

Lindsay: I dunno... Legault isn't sure. He just knows that Wrapsodi's captured so much of the population that she's decided to conduct one more raid, then move on so she doesn't drive the Yoshis to extinction... and she's apparently going to be headed for Angel Island next.

Knuckles: o_o; W-what?!? That... that bitch...

Fire: Yeah, I can totally see that creep cooking Lara-Le into a stew just to troll us-

Knuckles: She better leave my mother alone, or else!!!

Jumpy: ._.; Trisha... *whimper* [Lara-Le is Knuckles's mother, according to the Archie comic series. Trisha, a pink Yoshi, is Jumpy's girlfriend.]

Lindsay: Wrapsodi's still on Yoshi's Island! If we hurry, we can catch her before she does any more harm! Come on!

Mario: *nods, opens a portal to Yoshi's Island, and leaps through*
